Sometimes you are really tempted to reach for sauce packets when you are making a meat dish. But that is actually not necessary.
With just a few simple steps you can conjure up a super delicious sauce that takes hardly any longer than making a packet.
One option is to make a sauce with onion and pepper.

Ingredients for the sauce:
2 onions
1 bell pepper
some garlic
Water
Spices
optional: 2 tablespoons creme fraiche
Preparation:
Meat: I cut chicken fillets into slices, seasoned them with salt, pepper and paprika and fried them
Roasting juices: the meat comes out of the pan and is put to one side. I then fry the chopped onion in the roasting juices, add the garlic and finally the chopped pepper.
Deglaze and season: now everything is deglazed with water. How much water you use is entirely up to you. Add spices of your choice. I used salt, pepper and paprika.
Cooking: now you just need to let everything cook briefly until the vegetables can be chopped with a hand blender. The pureeing will make the sauce a little thicker. Optionally, you can refine the sauce with crème fraîche. Mix again and let the sauce reduce to the desired thickness.
DONE! Within a few minutes you will have created a super delicious sauce, without any preservatives.
